Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I am currently not participating with any insurance carriers. However, if you happen to have coverage for mental health services I strongly recommend you contact their benefits department and ask about reimbursement. I am happy to provide you with proof of service so you can recover some of your costs.
Yes, I am currently accepting new clients at my office in Roseville, CA.
I am usually able to accommodate an intake appointment within 1 to 3 days.
I see my clients Monday through Friday. 7AM is the earliest appointment and 7PM is the latest appointment that I offer.
The intake appointment is approximately 90-minutes. I do not charge extra for the first session. Regular appointments are based on the 50-minute hour. For those clients that are looking for Intensive Therapy I offer extended sessions that can be scheduled for 2, 3, or 4 hours.
My fee is $165 per 50-minute hour for individual, family, or couples therapy.
The laws concerning confidentiality in California are very clear: What you choose to share with a therapist is confidential as long as the therapist does not suspect certain dangerous conditions. When clients share information about child abuse, elder abuse, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation or if the client is gravely disabled and cannot care for themselves the law states that as a mandated reporter we are required to report the situation to the proper authorities.
An “MFT” is a Marriage and Family Therapist. To perform psychotherapy in the state of California certain licensure requirements must be met. Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT’s), License Clinical Social Workers (LCSW’s), Psychologists (Ph.D’s and Psy. D’s), and Psychiatrists (M.D.’s) all meet the criteria to perform mental health services. MFT’s are not allowed to prescribe medication.
